Studio Calico's January's kit, Block Party, is LIVE! What an exciting month for Studio Calico...the debut of their new Project Life kit! I managed to whip up two spreads with this month's kits...could have easily done more, but just ran out of time. This is my PL kit only spread...I LOVE the journaling cards, the little lables, those perfect sized BG alpha stickers....made the whole process so simple! I'm currently doing monthly spreads for now, while I attempt to catch up with this year's album. (I plan to go back to weekly pages once the new year starts)
(**The Project Life kits are currently by subscription only...you can sign up for the subscription waiting list HERE**)

I loved the little polka dot kraft bag that was included in the kit...it was the perfect spot to stick my Neil Diamond concert tickets inside. Jackson's last day of school was early June, so I used a photo of him on the first day of school and then on the last day and printed them on the same 3x4 canvas. Love the way that turned out!

For the second page of the spread, I had quite a bit of journaling I wanted to add. I still wanted to use that entire 4x6 photo of my boys in the pool though, so I printed my journaling right onto the photo. The digital brushes were great this month and I used the "enjoy the little things" one here on the speech bubble 4x6 card.

July was a big month for us. The biggest news being finding out that we are expecting baby #3! Such an exciting and crazy time, so I made sure to include several things about that, including a happy text from my Mom and a couple of name ideas so far. I used a mix of all the kits and add-ons here and used my own handwriting to switch it up a little. Still not sure how I feel about my spreads that use my handwriting, but I think it'll be fun for the kids to look back on anyhow ;) The heart digital brush and the printed journaling cards ("hello" speech bubble, "remember this moment" card, and 4x6 arrow card) are all exclusives from the Day by Day class....this class is a MUST take and the printables and other goodies are just amazing!

In addition to the Project Life kit, I also got the main kit and all four add-ons. This kit was too incredible to not get them all! Here's my main kit only layout...

I mixed up the kits for this one, but it uses mostly Pioneer Drive (my favorite!) and Woodbrooke Road. Loving all the bright colors from these add-ons.

This one was inspired by the colors in the orange/dark grey/cream colored BG paper from Pioneer Drive. I fell in love with it and thought it was a fun match for these photos of my littlest Harry Potter fan :) I inked up the stars from Pollard Avenue with Prima Chalk Edgers...Attic Dust, Rusty Keys and Black Coal..and backed a couple of them with patterned paper. I was also a huge fan of that shiny clear star washi tape!

This next layout didn't really go as planned...I pulled it apart several times, but in the end it turned out okay. I love how versatile those naked chipboard thickers are from the main kit...all I did here was outline them with Uniball white pen. It was a great simple way to make them stand out.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to grab your kits and add-ons before they're all gone!! :)
