Where have I been? I could give a million fancy excuses for my lack of blogging, but the truth is it's really just the kids. Three kids at home all summer is nuts. We're surviving. And definitely enjoying it too, but it doesn't leave time for anything "extra" like blogging. Anyhow, I promise to get better in a couple of weeks when the summer starts winding down and we start getting back into our regular routine. I do love the lazy summer days, but we all do better with routine, so I'll be welcoming the start of the new school year with open arms come August 18th ;)
Now onto the good stuff...sneaks!! I got the Studio Calico Sandlot kit about a week before we left for vacation this month. I didn't have much time to play, but I made sure to dig in right when it came so that I could at least get a few things made. It's all still out on my desk though and I'm hoping to spend some quality time with the kits when I get back home from vacay for sure. The main kit is gorgeous...it's a good gender neutral kit (not too girly and not too masculine either). I find that these kinds of kits are my favorite because it leaves lots of options for scrapping all kinds of subjects. It's funny, I'm not a huge stamper, but some stamps just really jump out at me...the main kit stamps this month did just that. As soon as I saw them, I knew exactly how I'd use them...
This one uses almost exclusively the Jet add-on...I love the boyish feel to this add-on. You boy Mamas will for sure love this one!
The Project Life kit is just as incredible as the Scrapbook kit. I pulled out all of the reds and blacks from the main kit to do a spread with some highlights from Jackson's All-Star experience this year (more on that later).
And the Project Life add-ons are always my very favorite. I used a mix of both Yeah Yeah and Repeat for this spread and the two work so well together and with the PL main kit too!
Thanks for stopping by! We're on the road again today...road tripping with 2 kids and a 16-month old has been fun ;) but we sure are ready to get back home. I'll be back tomorrow to share all of my Sandlot projects. Happy weekend, friends!
