So, I had grand plans for learning how to make pretty script lettering a la Kal Barteski. (And I still plan to!) But when we had the flu for over 2 weeks and life got busy again. The idea for this layout popped in my head and I knew a scripty title was the way to go. I went searching for fonts and found lots of options, but this one was the winner! It was, of course, scripty, but it also had the "edgy" look I was looking for. Since my layout was about Jackson's love of pink, I knew I wanted a big bold hot pink title. I typed my title out in Photoshop onto a 12x12 canvas and changed the color to pink. I moved the title around after deciding on my basic layout design.
Then, I simply ran the background paper through my large format printer. (You can also achieve the same look on an 8.5x11 sheet if you don't have a large format printer)
Once I had it printed out, I started to add all of the details around the title. The pink patterned paper covered up a bit of the "p", so I used an exacto knife to cut out the bottom portion of the "p" so that it could go over the patterned paper. I stuck it down with a bit of adhesive and I was all finished!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
