2 years ago I started doing Project Life and I never looked back. As a Mom of three, I take a TON of photos. There is no way I could ever scrapbook them all. And so for years, there they sat on my computer's hard drive and on discs. As a photographer, this really bugged me. Photos are meant to be enjoyed, looked at, hung up, etc. The thought of all of my photos sitting in a desk drawer for all of eternity is sad. In this day and age too where a lot of people take primarily phone photos, most of those photos rarely even make it off of the device, let alone in an album!
This is one of the reasons I love Project Life. I like to call it a "fancy photo album". It's a photo album with a little bit extra. It's like photo albums and scrapbooks had a baby. A perfect combination of the two. A photo album with notes and details and a little bit of fun and design for those that like pretty things too. LOVE! Here are a few of my favorite PL spreads from this past year. They were all made with Studio Calico Project Life kits and add-ons.
I am so incredibly excited to get started on another year of Project Life. I do fall behind a lot. My albums are certainly missing a fair amount of weeks, but you know what? That's okay. Our families were here on Thanksgiving and were looking through this year's album and it was so much fun to look back on all the fun from the year. 10 years from now, no one will say "Uh oh, she missed week 36!". They'll treasure the memories that I was able to get into those albums.
