Las week, the boys and I tried something new...bubble painting! They are always asking to do craft projects...it must be in their genes (heeee!), but to be honest, I don't like the mess and I've recently not been doing nearly enough creative things with them. I was inspired by this super talented crafty gal to do something different. We googled bubble painting and found tons of instructions on how to do it. The boys had the best time mixing the paint with the dish soap and blowing the bubbles. The best tip I found was to poke a tiny hole in the top of the straws with a pin, so that the bubbles couldn't be sucked back up. Drinking dish soap through a straw would surely ruin some of the fun. ;)
Then of course, after they were finished, we had to get the hose out to clean off the driveway and to clean them off...spraying each other is so much fun!
That's it for today...I'm off to scrap now with Studio Calico's August kit, Summer Camp. I've been itching to play with it, but with so many other assignments this month, I've barely been staying afloat. Now I plan to spend the next few days with my kit! :) I'll leave you with a sneak peek of my Sketchbook 2 class layout...if you haven't signed up for this class, do it NOW...you will love it!
Happy Tuesday! :)
