We had a low key weekend around here...Tom and Jackson stuck around here most of the weekend and did some cleaning and playing outside. It was nice to have them here and not running all over town keeping busy. :) And I got 6 layouts done...felt really good to scrap some things just for me!
Tom and I have been searching online for stuff for the new house and really needed to find some lined curtains for our family room...I found the answer to our prayers online at Pier 1 on sale for 20 bucks a
panel!! Can't beat that, so Tom ran out on Friday night and picked some up! The walls in our family room will be a taupe-ish grey color and I think it'll be great with these pumpkin-y curtains. I'm really excited about them and my birthday is coming up, so I told my Mom I'd like some brown ones for our bedroom too. We're thinking of maybe doing a steel grayish blue color in our bedroom and accenting the room with brown.
And my Mother has to be one of the most generous people ever...she never stops giving us things, always showing up with a toy or treat for Jackson, etc. I told her we had been looking into getting one of those fancy flat screen tv's, but we decided we'd rather spend the money on some new furniture...do you know what she's decided she's getting us for a housewarming gift?! you guessed it...a new TV! insane! I told her she shouldn't do that, but she refuses to take no for an answer, so now the hunt is on for a new entertainment unit. I'm not a big fan of those huge entertainment centers that take up the entire room, so we've been looking into this
Thomas O'Brien (LOVE his stuff at Target!) piece from Target...we're very big furniture snobs (which is why we have hardly any furniture..because we can't afford the expensive stuff!), but this set looks so nice and it got really good reviews on the Target website, so I'm thinking we might go for it. It's not too expensive and the ones I like at Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel are seriously ridiculously priced!!
Oh and if anyone local needs a TV, we'll be selling our current one for $200...it's only about 4 years old...it's a 36-inch Toshiba.
Another thing I accomplished this weekend was cleaning out my scrap space...the one I have set up on the ottoman in the living room. Went through all my stickers, chipboard, rub-ons, ribbons, etc...and I have a big bag of goodies to give away! Some of the stuff is older, but most of it is "newer" product. Just post a comment here and I'll have Jackson draw a name at the end of week and then get it mailed on Saturday. :)

Me! :) Pick me Jackson! Love the drapes! Such a warm color.

I don't want to be RAK'd, (as if you would...) but I do want to say how beautiful you look in the new picture.

Love what you want to do with your bedroom. I've been looking at color swatches to do something similiar. Hope you're feeling well.

Beautiful drapes, Kelly! So glad to hear that all is going well! Yay for getting 6 LOs done! Have a great rest of the week!

No RAK-ing here either, but I wanted to tell you that we have pretty darn similar taste in furniture! We've been looking for an entertainment unit for a year now, and cannot find one we like. I like modern, and it's hard to find a nice one with lots of space for all our stuff. Sure wish we had Target here, argh!
And my bedroom? It's a slate grey/blue with a chocolate duvet and accents. LOL.
You do look beautiful in the new pic!

As always, I came to check on you. Hooray for almost 31 wks! And then tell you how nice your new picture at 2peas was (and it is here as well). And now I must say I love those pumpkin curtains. And heck, since I am here, I will sign up to be a RAK wannabe!!!

Girl, you get more done on bed rest than I do on 2 legs! Love your layouts. Punch of color and fun but not busy or distracting, I admire your scrap so much, keep it coming!

I hope I'm not too late!?!
Glad to hear that you can sit up again. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be on bed rest let alone when you have another child to care for.
Take care of yourself & that wee one.
